Born in Tokyo. Graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in 2008. After studying oil painting and copperplate printing, I went on to study contemporary art in the UK. Since 2008 I have been developing installation works.

Like a series of light bulbs work ‘Bulb city’, which is related with specific places and the act of understanding others, and an installation work consisting of small works, which are based on the gap of the sense and fact of light between Japan and Scandinavia, my work is starting from personal experience and recognition then expressing the multilaminar of human’s cognition by decoding the conversion of meaning and cognition and the process of generating poetries and narratives. From the experience of making etching prints, I am interested in the switching sense between solid figures and plane figures, reproducing the installation where different states exist simultaneously as an installation then examine the reflection of the experience to the cognition of artists and audiences in the space. In recent years perception affected by light is also included in the theme of my study.

Participated in “Gunma Young Artists Biennial 2008” (Museum of Modern Art, Gunma), TAMA VIVANTII (Tama Art University), as well as numerous other solo and group shows.
